John Foster is Awesome!

Hello everyone!
I had a workshop with John Foster here at the CDA,
this guy ROCKS, he's not only supergood in his drawing but he's also a supergood person.
We went to eat together, with Frank, Kevin, Rad, my new Bro. Fernando, Dan, Sherwin,Steven. I'm feeling so positive after going out with all of those amazing artists!
I'm learning a lot but I'm also realizing that I'm not weird.. I mean, I am.. but like every artist! Discover that I'm not the only one voicerecording himself while drawing to remember things and stuff like that.. We are weird come on. I'm like michael jackson' song, NOT ALONE!

By the way, During his class the light was down to watch better at the projector but he gave me so much inspiration that I had to draw something. So, sorry if the colors are kind of crazy, I was almost blind :-)

What if one day you meet Toby Shelton?

Hello Everyone!
I actually have to say thanks to Rad if this happened.

I grew up watching He-man, Pollon, Doraemon and all of this stuff. Japanese cartoons are probably 30% of my inspiration.
But in the 90's I remember coming back granny's home, after school eating bread and Nutella or Bread butter and Salt ( I love it) and watching Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Cheap an'Dale Rescue Rangers... And I was so happy to see those TvShows and probably that was when I started to learn how to draw!
I started drawing ducks everywhere actually, I remember that I even made "PaperFrank" that in english I could translate in "DuckFrank", it was a kind of Duck Superhero with antennas. I can't show this 'cause is somewhere in Italy but one day i'll make a feature of it (LOL, I'm joking).-

By the way, at that time, I don't know why, everytime I was watching Darkwing Duck and Ducktales I used to think: " OH MY GOSH I WANT TO DRAW SO BAD NOW". I said I don't know why? Now I'll say I DIDN'T Know why. The answer is:

TOBY SHELTON!
THE GUY WHO ACTUALLY DID THOSE CHARACTERS!

I met this awesome artist, he's workin' at dreamworks now, doing storyboards. I was so lucky to see his stuff and notice that every single drawing he did reminds my youth. He's so good, he's drawings are so clear and beautiful, I hope one day I'll be good like him! While he was talkin', showing us his AMAZING studies of Kung Fu Panda at the San Diego Zoo, and His storyboards of Shreck, Megamind, Kung fu panda, Tangled... I was like an happy dog waggin' his tail. I was overanimated, trying to stay calm and look professional. By the way, he went to Italy to the Disney Studio I'm working for and he started telling me all of the places that I know, like Stresa, lago maggiore bla bla bla... I'm exactly from there!!!!!!!!!! I love Toby Shelton and I love Rad Sechrist. I feel very onoured to have met those amazing artist that are SUPER friendly and very open mind.
Sorry if I wrote to much but I had to share to you guys ..

Ehi Guys!
Finally I did it!
I can't stand this song anymore actually.. Because I am in Pasadena I don't have all of my stuff with me so I had to use flash to make this animatic. Flash is not very good to export movies, that's why I had to stay awake one night to make it work as good as possible. Some frame is not there like the one when the director push the BGGuy's nose and there's some part where the rocky horror poster doesn't look very well. Trust me, after almost 50 videos this is the best version.. Expecially 'cause now I really have to go to work!
Thank you guys for watching it and sorry for the inconvenient, Maybe one day I'll do the final version in ToonBoom Armony (I want to learn this software)..

Pirates Gesture Drawings!

Hi everyone!
I've just done 3 pages from a pirate model,
this guy was awesome and sometimes he works as a model for disney Dreamworks and wathever else!
I knew him from before 'cause he's from the Steven Silver's book and other art books.

French Maid

Hello!
We had this wonderful model last monday wearing as a french maid and here's some sketches I did :-)

Calypso guy in Santa Monica.

I went to Santa Monica Last day, I sketched a bit and there was a guy playin' calypso, that carribbean music instrument that Sebastian (from the little Mermaid) play during his song "Under the Sea".-

I was thinkin' that maybe this guy can take part of a story.
A story where he hipnotizes with his music the clams of the Pacific Ocean, so the other fishes are angry with him.
I know it's a stupid idea but it can be a point to start :-)

Ehi Guys,
I can't believe it, this guy, Story Artist from Dreamworks, he worked on movies such as Megamind, Kung Fu Panda etc. so famous, so superCool his name Rad Sechrist , my friend, teacher I called him my tutor actually, brings me to Hollywood last Sat and made a comic about us and I am very mega AWESOME in that Story. Just go and ejoy him!

New Pirates!

Ehi Everyone!
Here's my new Pirates I did for the Kevin Chen -Character Design- Class.-
We had to make 4 Pirates from the inspiration of the ones we did last time.

As you can see I've put on the left upper side the first ruff I did of them.- It was on a post it, so as Kevin and every teacher told me, if it works small It'll work bigger!

Then I've just made that figures bigger to add details.

Here's an assignment I did at the concept design academy (storyboard Class with J. oliva)
I just used a track from grand Torino and I used Batman's characters.

The goal was to make a dialogue sequence with the cinematic theory.
