I'm almost done with my new website so here's a new drawing I did for the home page Banner!

For now only one drawing left, then I will organize my portfolio then I'll be done"
I'm looking for a job outside Italy.

I'm so happy I moved my studio to Swiss so I hope to find new Inspirations and Ideas (and collaborations).

Today I am so happy to say that I'm working on my new website, were you will find my New Blog, my new port-folio's and also the way to contact me in order to get some of my drawings!

The website it's almost done, now I have to wait to my friend Damiano to put everything together, he's an IT so he knows things that for me are so DARK or almost INVISIBLEEEEEEEE-WHOOOOOOO-

Ok. So, because my website homepage has a Banner, I'm doing some banners, here's the first one I did!

Tribute to evil dead in Italy

Hello everyone!!!

I'm finally free to do some stuff for this blog and Free to show what I've done this winter (it was top secret).-

Ok let's start with this:

I directed the italian tribute of Evil Dead the musical, and I did part the scenography, with my best friend Marco Crivaro (he did the structural part, I did the colors, all the puppets and cartoony stuff).-

Here we go! We first called this musical Evil Dead- the musical .- then after two shows one of the producer wrote me on facebook that I cannot do it so because he was totally right, we changed the name in Horror Musical! I love this musical.. I translated and wrote the new script and songs and now we're going to play this tuesday at the TEATRO NUOVO in Milano!

Calypso guy in Santa Monica.

I went to Santa Monica Last day, I sketched a bit and there was a guy playin' calypso, that carribbean music instrument that Sebastian (from the little Mermaid) play during his song "Under the Sea".-

I was thinkin' that maybe this guy can take part of a story.
A story where he hipnotizes with his music the clams of the Pacific Ocean, so the other fishes are angry with him.
I know it's a stupid idea but it can be a point to start :-)

here we go!

So, for some reason I'm going to make a storyboard, it seems I have to.-
I'll let you know why later.. ;-)

SPOT Cicrespi!

I'm so happy to say that I did this video spot for Cicrespi.
Cicrespi is a place where they make everything, so many different things that it is difficult to explain that by writing it.
In this video (made in flash CS3) I tryed to explain what Cicrespi is and what they do.
No so much time for that, I did it while I was doing my books and other stuff I'm going to show you soon so I'm pretty satisfied.

Hello everyone!
Firstly,
thank you for watchin' my blog,
thank you so much, and sorry I'm not posting every week but the commission now are too much and everything I do is top secret 'till it'll be published.-

So, I was at the school of comics, after a meeting with the Boss (i'm gonna teach there for a while, it's gonnabe a "3 Months short corse" in flash basic animation), I had to wait 30 minutes to go for lunch with the other teachers.- So i doodled those JOSH the Cat,
I love Josh, I hope one day I'll be able to make a story of him!

Crocodile eats the tiger verion n°2

Hello everyone!

I did another version of the crocodile eating the tiger, with a close up, I don't know, just for fun!
The first idae was to treat the Crocodile's teeth as a cage for the tiger, then, talking with my friend "quellobianco" ( a crocodile is famous because he has a lot of teeth but not because of the lenght of them) I did the final version a little bit different.-

Dream

For the last contest I did, about the bunny girl and the animal I did this other sketch.
I found it interesting and so even if the contest is past I decided to finalized it.- Of corse, it's not a bunny girl anymore.-
I decided to add on her hair a special hairclip, I made a version with a butterfly, one with a strawberry, one with an octopuss.
Special thanks to my friend Giuditta that gave me the idea to make it a Cupcake :-)

Can slugs play guitar?

I was chatting with my buddy Tommi while I was doing a drawing (that I'm going to post tomorrow) and there was an empty space there.- I asked him, ehi Tommy, tell me some animal I can draw to fill that space. He told me, make a slug, slugs are funny every time! I was wondering how to make that slug and I told him, ehi, I'm going to make a slug playing a guitar!

After a while he asked me, ehi Fra, Slugs don't have arms, how can they play guitar? And did this stupid concept that made me laught :-) I hope you're going to like it as well!

I also did the color version, Tommaso sent me his own color version, a kind of Psychedelic one, very funny as well!
Ok, I'm going back to work now,

Thanks to Bobby Chiu inspiration,
I did this experiment in about 2 hours (15min for the ruff drawing, 30min for the digital ink, the rest for coloring).-
Thanks Bobby Chiu for all of your advices and for this awesome idea to have an assignment every week.- I think, expecially when we lack in inspiration this is a good way to turn our brain on! It was for fun, I really don't care about the contest itself, I love to be part of that community!

I hope you guys find in every of my drawing that I had fun!

GENESIS

Hello Guys and Gals,
I didn't upload from a bit because I'm working on a story that take a lot of my time.- I hope it'sgonna worth it!
In addition, the end of the school was a kind of trauma for me and I had some bad lazy days for a while.-

Today I'm going to post some of the ruff drawings I did in order to figure out the character design of the characters for the short I'm workin' on "Genesis".- You can see a wuick preview in my Demoreel, it's the first part.-

Weird Dream

We are the guy with the tie.
The Duck is our dream. She's bringing us up.
The ground is what people thinks about us: BLA BLA BLA.
The Sky is the sky.
The direction is our destiny.

SO: We're walking on people opinions about us, thanks to our dreams.


People opinion kills our own dreams sometime. I think we should listen to them but never leave the connection with our dreams!



This where I'm starting, there's lots of better way to make it better, this was the first visualization, of corse I'm going to work on that.-

High Kitchen

Like every single year Christmas comes veeeeery fast!

So, Joe Sullivan and Sam Padella asked me to make a video of them. Ok! The videos is posted in their comic strip- blog.-

I'm pretty excited because this afternoon I'm going to be at the theatre to watch "the Princess and the Frog".- I'm waiting for this movie from last February.- I do love Disney!

Proportions

Hello Guys! Today I'm going to show you an assignment I did at Vanarts about Characters Basic Proportions:

there are three kinds of body types; ectomorph, mesomorph, and endomorph:

Some characters, like Olive Oil from popeye, are born to be thin. These delicately built individuals are ectomorphs.

Others are destined to be athletic, like Disney's characters Aladdin or Hercules.They are mesomorphs.

Then there are the endomorphs, characters like Peg Leg Pete or Baloo , who sport softer, rounder bodies and have difficulty losing weight.

To do this assignment I decided to make three puppeteers and play with them and their puppets:

The Goatfather

I love the Goadfather movies, expecially the first one with Marlon Brando.
When we went to the farmyard I thought: goat! goat.. goat... Goatfather! I wannamake something like that, it sounds funny!
So I made it.- I started making some ruff of Marlon Brando then I tried to make him as a goat. I also made a thumbnail for the composition.
I made some Goat sketches to make the characters more believable. Here the final drawing and some of the studies I did.-

My friend Tommaso make me the Logo(thank you Tom).-

Goats are such a funny characters and who knows? Probably me and my storywriter are going to start a project with about that :-)
